
Struggle Spaghetti

Struggle spaghetti aka "Sketti" is one of my favorite meals to make in a pinch. Doctor it up as seen here, or, just cook the pasta and mix with a jar of sauce. Either way, this is inexpensive and super simple.
Step 1
Prep the vegetables. Dice the yellow onion and green bell pepper. Meanwhile, bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
Step 2
In a sauté pan, heat up 2 tbsp of olive oil and sauté the onion and bell pepper for 4-5 minutes. Add the ground beef and break up and brown. Season with salt, black pepper, 2 tsp of dried basil, 1 tsp of dried oregano, and 1 tsp of crushed red pepper flakes.
Step 3
Cook the spaghetti until al dente, drain, then mix with the jar of marinara sauce. Add the beef, onion, and bell pepper mixture.
Step 4
Serve with with a slice of Texas toast and parmesan cheese.
