Seafood Boil
Prep Time: 20 minutes / Cooking Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
-
One of the easiest and best seafood dishes anyone can make. It's shareable too. Invite over your friends and family for a feast.
Step 1
Bring 12 cups of water and 1 can of beer to a boil then season with 1 box of Zatarain’s Crab Boil and a few heavy dashes of Old Bay Hot Sauce. Add 1 large white onion (halved) and 1 lemon (halved) into the pot. Stir well and boil for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Add 1 smoked andouille sausage (cut into large pieces) and 1 bag of baby boiling potatoes into the pot. Boil for another 15 minutes until the potatoes are almost fork-tender.
Step 3
Prepare the garlic butter sauce. In a saucepan over medium heat melt 1.5 sticks of butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, a few dashes of Old Bay Hot Sauce, and Cajun seasoning. Simmer until well combined, stirring often. Skim the impurities off the top.
Step 4
Nestle the corn, snow crab clusters, and shrimp into the pot. Carefully stir and fully submerge and continue boiling for another 5 minutes until the shrimp are pink.
Step 5
Remove the contents of the boil (discard halved onion and lemon) and place in a large mixing bowl. Pour the garlic butter sauce over everything and carefully mix until well coated.
Step 6
Serve on a parchment paper lined sheet pan with fresh lemon wedges.
